The classic chardonnay bouquet of candied lemon with toasted white bread leads you into a very clean, medium-bodied palate with neatly matched body and freshness, creaminess and crispness. The long finish is so lively and well balanced, it’s hard to imagine any dry white-wine drinker not enjoying it! Drink or hold.

Packaged in its distinctive bottle with angular shoulders, the 2019 Alto Adige Chardonnay Sanct Valentin is silky and soft with a mid-weight texture and an extra dose of supple fruit weight that comes off as apricot, dried apple and preserved lemon from Morocco. You get a few other exotic aromas at the back with hints of saffron and toasted cumin seed. That abundance concludes with fresh acidity on the close.
