Krug Grande Cuvée je primer filozofije proizvodnje Kruga: kupažiranje od oko 120 vina iz 10 ili više različitih berbi, od kojih neke mogu dostići i 15 godina starosti. Spajanje toliko različitih berbi daje Krug Grande Cuvée-u jedinstvenu punoću ukusa i aroma, njegovu apsolutnu eleganciju – koju je nemoguće izraziti sa vinima iz samo jedne berbe. Njegova izuzetna prefinjenost je rezultatodležavanja najmanje još šest godina u podrumima. Potrebno je preko 20 godina za proizvodnju svake boce Krug Grande Cuvée-a.

Decanter - review

Because it's been blended from 10 different vintages and 47 different wines from 25 crus, Krug is a super multi-vintage of its own kind. The extremely tough acidity, together with the heavy, rich Krug aromas, are unique. This bottle had a fabulously complex nose and palate, dominated by nuts and honey. The aftertaste was acidic, long and majestic, like a great symphony.

The Grande Cuvee is scented of croissant, buttered cinnamon toast and warm strawberries with a hint of smoky bacon. Muscular and still very taut in the mouth, the densely packed flavors are refreshed with a pure, crisp acid line. It finishes long with plenty of toast and nut layers.

With its minimum of six years' bottle aging, this is a beautifully integrated, mature wine. It has a wonderful toast character, layered over sliced pears and ripe acidity. With its complex poise between lightness and richness, this remains an intensely impressive wine.

Beautifully aromatic and inviting, with grilled nut, incense and graphite notes, this vibrant Champagne is finely knit and harmonious, expanding on the palate and delivering flavors of toast, lemon meringue, orange blossom and clover honey. The long finish features lots of exotic spice details. Disgorged winter 2013. Drink now through 2025.

A heady beehive of vinous complexity, this is driven by the layered depths of reserve wines. There's a purity at its center, a dark-fruited intensity that ranges from cherries to fruity wild mushroom savor. Structured by oak, the texture sustains a silken feel, as does the stream of bubbbles. Luscious and compelling.
